2005 2006 Ford Mustang Jack Roush Edition Information

Information and History  -  Gallery  -  Forum - UK Sales

Jack Roush began his professional career in 1964 as an engineer for Ford Motor Company.  He eventually left Ford to pursue his interest in engine development and motor sports.  Roush formed Jack Roush Performance Engineering, a precursor of today’s Roush Industries, in 1976 and Roush Racing in 1988.

Jack Roush became the only professional drag racer to venture into NASCAR, SCCA Trans Am, and IMSA road racing, sports car racing and IRL oval racing – with success in every series.

Roush Racing has claimed 24 national championships and titles in the Winston Cup and Busch series, and has also earned an impressive 10 straight 24 Hours of Daytona Sedan Class Championships.  In March of 1999, Roush earned his 200th post-drag racing career win as a team owner with Mark Martin’s Busch victory at Texas Motor Speedway.  In 2002, driver Greg Biffle earned the Busch Series title, the Winston Cup team made 12 trips to Victory Lane, and Roush was named NASCAR’s owner of the year.

Roush Performance was established in 1995, with the development of a manifold package and tool kit introduced at that year's SEMA show. Jack Roush's personal preference for hot street Mustangs (he owns more than a dozen) provided the inspiration for Roush Performance to design, engineer and manufacture a line of high-performance Ford Mustangs. These vehicles were met with tremendous critical acclaim. In 1977, Roush Performance launched the first Roush truck package, and established a Roush dealer network of 100 dealers across the country. Their sales have increased at least 100 percent since 1998. In 2001, RPP launched the Roush Stage 3 Mustang and expanded their dealer network to 225. In 2002 Roush Performance introduced the 360R, which shares many of the Stage 3's performance and technological enhancements in a more economical package.

The vehicles and components produced by Roush Performance carry a strong imprint of Jack Roush's vision, passion for performance and commitment to excellence. Roush personally approves the design, engineering, fit, finish and overall performance of each package, ensuring that his personal standards are met prior to production startup and product release.

As technology and design continue to evolve, so does the Roush line of vehicles and parts. Roush Performance Products is committed to leveraging the latest in automotive and motorsports technologies to continually provide our customers the ultimate driving experience - the perfect combination of race car and road car.
